Weaving Types & Mesh Patterns
Stainless steel woven wire cloth is manufactured on high-precision looms in a variety of weaving styles to meet different performance requirements:
- Plain weave: the most common type; each warp wire passes over one and under one weft wire, forming a simple and stable square opening.
- Twill weave: each warp wire passes over two and under two weft wires; produces a diagonal pattern with higher strength and finer mesh capabilities.
- Plain Dutch weave: similar to plain weave but with different warp/weft diameters and mesh counts; offers improved filtration with small openings.
- Twill Dutch weave: combines twill pattern with Dutch construction for very fine filtration, high pressure resistance and excellent retention.
- Reverse Dutch weave: heavier warp wires and fewer weft wires for high mechanical strength and low pressure drop.
- Crimped / pre-crimped weave: wires are crimped before weaving to create a rigid structure suitable for heavy-duty screening and grills.

- Standard roll length: 30 m or 100′
