Stainless Steel Dutch Weave Wire Cloth is a precision-woven filter mesh specially designed for high-performance liquid and gas filtration. Unlike standard square woven mesh, Dutch weave combines
different wire diameters in warp and weft with very dense weft spacing to create extremely fine, elongated flow channels. This gives excellent micron-level filtration, high mechanical strength and
stable pore size, making it an ideal filter cloth for demanding industrial processes.Dutch weave wire cloth is commonly produced from stainless steel wire, but it can also be woven from nickel wire, brass wire ( copper wire mesh ) and galvanized wire according to the working environment and corrosion requirements. Stainless steel (304, 316, etc.) is especially popular for its outstanding corrosion resistance, cleanliness and long service life.

Stainless Steel Dutch Weave Wire Cloth
Dutch Weave Wire Cloth has four main types of weaves: plain Dutch woven, twill Dutch woven, reverse Dutch woven and five heddle weave.
All of them can be produced using:
- Stainless steel wire
- Nickel wire
- Brass wire
- Galvanized wire
These different Dutch weaves are primarily used as filter cloth. The coarser warp wires supply tensile strength and dimensional stability, while the finer, densely packed weft wires create tiny flow channels for accurate filtration.

1. Plain Stainless Steel Dutch Weave Wire Cloth
Plain Dutch Woven Wire Cloth is woven with a large wire diameter in the warp direction and a relatively smaller wire in the shute (weft) direction. The warp wires pass alternately over and under each weft wire (plain weave pattern), while the fine weft wires are driven close together to form continuous, narrow filtration channels.
- High tensile strength in the warp direction.
- Wide range of micron filtration values.
- Optimized for filtering liquid and slurry products.
It is primarily used to filter a wide range of liquid and slurry products and is suitable for applications in chemical, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical and wastewater treatment systems.

2. Twill Dutch Weave Wire Cloth
Twill Dutch Weave Wire Cloth is a combination of Dutch weave and twill weave. The larger diameter warp wires successively pass over and under the lighter diameter shute wires, and each pass of the shute wires shifts the over-and-under movement by one wire. The fine weft wires are driven up very close together, resulting in a tightly woven filter cloth with tapered or wedge-shaped openings.
Compared with normal twill woven wire cloth, twill Dutch weave has:
- Much finer openings for better filtration performance.
- Higher tensile strength due to the heavy warp wires.
- Ability to handle ultra-fine filtration at low micron levels.
- A more stable and robust structure under pressure.
Twill Dutch woven wire mesh is suitable for filtering heavy or high-viscosity materials and is widely used in polymer melt, hydraulic systems, chemical and petrochemical filtration and other high-pressure,
high-precision processes.

4. General Description – Plain Dutch & Twill Dutch Woven Wire Mesh
Dutch weave woven wire mesh is manufactured mainly from stainless steel wire. It differs from plain weave and twill weave woven wire mesh because it uses two different wire diameters and
different mesh counts in warp and weft. Typically:
- The warp wire is coarser, providing high tensile strength and stability for the cloth.
- The weft wire is finer and packed very densely, ensuring excellent filter performance and
fine openings.
This unique structure with greater strength and finer openings is primarily used as a filter cloth in critical filtration processes.

Dutch woven wire mesh has zero aperture sizes for outstanding filtering performance.
Applications of Dutch Weave Woven Wire Mesh
- Dutch weave woven wire mesh is mainly used for filtering. It provides superior filtration
capabilities for a wide range of applications:- Aerospace
- Petrochemical
- Pharmaceutical
- Mining
- Waste water treatment
- According to the material and process, plain Dutch and twill Dutch can be
used in different ways:- The plain Dutch weave woven wire mesh is mainly used for filtering and separating
liquid and slurry products. - The twill Dutch weave woven wire mesh is used for filtering heavy materials and
ultra-fine products where higher loads are involved.
- The plain Dutch weave woven wire mesh is mainly used for filtering and separating
